Registration (3)

Registrations open on 1 January each year.

Team nominations are finalised in February to allow teams to be organised for the season.
However, registrations remain open until June, subject to team availability, to accommodate late registrations where possible.

Places are limited after teams are finalised, so early registration is encouraged.

Category: Registration

This is completely normal and usually means one of the following:

  • Your child is new to the club and ID needs to be sighted
  • The club or association is reviewing the registration
  • Team placement has not yet been finalised and we are finalising team lists

In most cases, no action is required immediately. The status will update once the process is complete.

No further action is required unless we contact you.

Age groups are determined by the year your child was born, not their school year or age at the start of the season.

Players are placed in the age group where they turn that age during the calendar year of the season.

For example:

  • A child turning 8 at any time during the year will play in Under 8s
  • A child turning 11 during the year will play in Under 11s

If you’re unsure which age group your child belongs in, please contact the club and we’ll be happy to help confirm the correct placement.

Match Day (3)

When and where are matches played?

  • MiniRoos and most junior matches are played on Saturdays.
  • All Age men’s and women’s teams, as well as some junior matches, are usually played on Sundays.
  • Make-up matches and double-header rounds for All Age and junior competition teams may occasionally be scheduled on weekdays.

Matches are played across the Macarthur region, primarily in the Campbelltown and Camden areas. Some games may also be held in Picton, Tahmoor, Appin, Douglas Park, and Burragorang.

Bradbury Bears operates on an upfront registration payment system.
Your registration fee covers all match fees for the season, so there are no weekly match payments required.

This approach helps simplify payments for families and team managers and ensures there’s nothing to pay on game day.

Bradbury Bears is a community-run club, and we rely on the support of parents and volunteers to operate successfully.

There are many ways to get involved, including:

  • Coaching or assisting a team
  • Team managing
  • Helping on game days or at the clubhouse
  • Assisting with events, fundraising, or administration

No experience is required for most roles, and support and guidance are provided by the club.

If you’re interested in helping out, please contact the club or speak with a committee member — any level of support is greatly appreciated.
