Our AGM will be on Tuesday night 7th October starting at 7:30pm at the Bears Clubhouse The AGM is where our current committee stands down and allows our members to nominate for positions. .

All Positions are available to nominate for. Some information on positions below. Hope to see a big turnout to keep the proud Bears club operating again in 2015 so we need your support next Tuesday night. Please try to make yourself available for the most important meeting of the year.


Attend to the registration of all Players, Coaches and Managers with the MFA.

· In consultation with the Management Committee, determine the number of teams anticipated for each age group for the upcoming season.

· Accept registration applications on the dates specified and advertised by the Club.

· Accept any applications for player registration received after the advertised registration dates, provided a vacancy exists in a team.

· Record all players names and addresses and other relevant information, as required from time to time, on the Club’s database.

· Provide to the Chairperson of the Grading Sub-Committee a list of all registered players eligible to be graded and therefore eligible for inclusion in a team. Also provide a summary of all valid grading requests presented for consideration, ie Johny wants to play with Billy.

· In consultation with the Management Committee and Chairperson of the Grading Sub-Committee, submit to MFA the appropriate Team Nomination forms.

Attend to the business of the Club.

· Record any action taken by the Executive Committee between meetings.

· Attend to all correspondence concerning Club business under advice to the Management Committee.

· Undertake any other duties required by the President as being necessary to carry out the above functions.

· Be a Delegate to the MFA, attend meetings and keep the Club up to date with the minutes of those meetings.

· Act as Public Officer for the Club.

· Complete and lodge all necessary paperwork with the Department of Fair Trading prior to the start of season.

The Minutes Secretary

· Keep a record of attendance at all meetings by means of an official attendance book or register.

· Keep true minutes of all meetings.

· Distribute recorded minutes to eligible club members

The Member Protection Officer

· Ensure the Club abides by all State legislation pertaining to the current Prohibited

· Employment Act, and all regulation as decreed by the governing body of this sport.

· Ensure that each Coach, Manager and Club person has executed a “WWCC” to be passed onto the Registrar for lodgement with the MFA with their application for registration

The Competition Secretary

· Ensure that all mini, junior and senior team officials receive a copy of the current season fixtures draw, and any amendments that may ensue, as described by the MFA

· Prepare a written report for presentation at each meeting

· Organisation of trial matches

We will also take expressions of interest for Coaches and Managers for the 2015 season

Final Series:

We had five teams make the 2014 finals with two of our U13 teams crowned Premiers.  The U13 Division 3 side won their Grand Final on Saturday 13th 3 -1.  The U13 Division 1 side won their Grand Final on Saturday 20th September 2 - 0.  Congratulations to all our teams for a terrific season.

- U13 Div 1 – 1st Place (Premiers and Champions 2014)

- U13 Div 3 – 1st Place (Premiers and Champions 2014)

- U15 Div 2 – 3rd Place

- U16 Girls Div 2 – 3rd Place

- O35 Div 3 – 4th Place
